We read a GEM book today called 'The Gigantic Turnip'. GEM books are special because they warm our hearts with a special message. After listening to the story, our Grade 1 students turned to their elbow partner to share what they thought that message was. William and Madelyn said, "we should all work together" and everyone agreed. This was something the students also came up with earlier this week when sharing what they thought our class rules should be. We added it to our class list of names written by the students.
